The Chiron Project
Addressing Burnout in Healthcare Professionals
Burnout is a growing crisis in the healthcare industry. Nearly 50% of physicians and 62% of nurses in the U.S. report experiencing burnout, leading to stress-related substance use, high turnover rates, and compromised patient care. Alarmingly, two-thirds of physicians have no access to workplace resources for stress management, largely due to stigma. The financial impact is staggering—each physician exit costs approximately $990K, with the total burden reaching $4.6 billion annually
To combat this growing issue, See Yourself Health has developed The Chiron Project—an immersive virtual reality (VR) and mobile platform designed to support healthcare workers in managing workplace stress and preventing substance use disorders. Accessible through VR headsets or mobile devices, The Chiron Project provides:
Group education programs on self-compassion, resilience, and stress management.
Confidential peer support in a stigma-free environment.
Evidence-based care to help prevent burnout-related substance use.
